I paint the solitude in landscapes where life is slow. Trees and facades shade the streets in warm summer months. Snowy streets lit by lamps and car headlights in the dark winter days. Imagery from morning to night. Buildings hint at the whereabouts in the perimeter of the city. Sillouettes and values act as a language I look to decode, confining detail into somewhere between reality and geometric abstraction.
A note on trees
Visually, trees are a dose of natural forms within urban landscapes. And they are also an important part of eco-incentives. Green structure projects undertaken by the city of Stockholm provide information about the necessity for trees in city areas.
